So this has been in rotation since being released last Friday. Mac Miller's "The Divine Feminine" is a creative, mature and wonderfully sequenced body of work. The album is a series of love songs layered with exquisite musicality. Notable features fit seamlessly without overshadowing the rapidly maturing talent of Mac Miller.
Never one for the hyperbole but this project deserves the plaudits not just for the risk taken but for the excellence of the execution. Mac revealed he benefited from not having an A&R overseeing the project at Warner Bros. Records as he has already established himself with his fanbase by basically doing his own thing. In this case it has proven to be perfect arrangement for Mac Miller to explore the depths of his creativity.
